THE CHOPIN PROJECT
Violinist YuEun Kim and pianist Sahun Hong join as a duo of performers and arrangers in The Chopin Project. Born in the summer of 2018 from their mutual passion for the sweeping lyricism of Frederic Chopin’s piano music, the duo presents new arrangements of Chopin’s Nocturnes for violin and piano.
The Chopin Project was established an Ensemble-in-Residence at Avaloch Farm Music Institute 201 to create and concert tours of the complete Nocturne cycle. Propelled by the creative momentum of online channels and social media, The Chopin Project has supporters and fans all over the world – with the original Nocturne video reaching 8 million views on YuEun’s YouTube channel.
